A CRETE ISLAND WEDDING

Earlier on this year whilst on holiday in California, I travelled home via San Francisco for a meeting with these two. Nancy works with textiles and has an incredible eye for design and all things beautiful and when you talk to her, she gives you the impression of always being on the verge of bursting into laughter. Chic, cheeky & in my eyes, utterly amazing.

I was so happy to have met them both before their wedding in Crete in June this year but even happier that the next place we met, was the night before their wedding, with all of their guests, for dinner by the sea…

The following day, in the afternoon sunshine, I wandered around to photograph some pretty things and stopped in to see Nancy getting ready.

Nancy & Elias’ uncle opened the dancefloor with a freestyle interpretation of Sex Bomb. She knows how to dance.

This beautiful Greek Island wedding was also featured over on Martha Stewart Weddings Bride’s Guide. You can check out their detailed selection, over here.

There are lots of thank yous to be done here: to Shira, for the feature, to Sara, for the introduction, but most importantly to you Ms Fancy Nancy, for having had me photograph your wedding, for treating us as your friends and for introducing me to some of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met. You are a vision.

Venue: Metohi Kindelis // Planner: Sara Pavlatou, SP Weddings

The past few weeks have been aflutter with meetings and bookings, from weddings at the ICA in London and as far afield as Australia. But there’s plenty more to come on that one.

  • AN ELEGANT OUTDOOR WEDDING IN PROVENCE

On a calm summer’s day in August, when the sun shone warm on my skin, I travelled with cameras to Chateau Martinet and here is where this story begins. An elegant couple in love with each other, their guests cool and dressed to the nines, take seats in the shade and applaud with delight as these two wed under French pines. Champagne was served and kisses exchanged, well wishes and hugs were poured out and I had a beautiful, brilliant day, of that there was never a doubt…

  • TRULY GRATEFUL

I am always enamoured with nights like this one.

An evening at home with my husband, in our little London flat, sat outside under the heater on the terrace, listening to our neighbour’s winter concert, with a bottle of Oyster Bay. Feeling alive and truly grateful for life and love, forever surprised at how sweet London can be.

It’s been a phenomenal start to the year. I am already overwhelmed by what’s in store, but overwhelmed in the best way possible.

  • A PARISIAN ENGAGEMENT

Tomorrow at 5am, I leave for Portugal to photograph these two love birds who are getting married on Saturday. Aren’t they just gorgeous? They’re so very much in love and their wedding day is going to be of internationality, with friends from all over the world. It’s also 27 degrees which should mean a welcome return of my freckles. I really can’t wait.

  • THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

Mary and I first met at an event organised for wedding professionals to meet and get to know their colleagues and she had on the best hat I’d ever seen. When she asked me for a portrait session, I hoped she’d be wearing another brilliant hat. We met at a sweet little cafe for coffee and a chat and I even got to meet the charming, Samson.

I do love this kind of portraiture and if you think you would benefit from some casual photos like these for your business or even just because, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I have some autumnal portraits to do in the upcoming weeks, but there is room for one or two more.

I know I said something about a beautiful Swiss wedding and it is absolutely coming, I promise. I just have to get through a wedding tomorrow in Dorset and finish an edit on Sunday and then it’s up. There’s still so much editing to be done before my winter hibernation!

    A RUFFLED BLOG FEATURE

I knew I would love Alex & Chris when we first spoke on the phone early last year. They’re designers and run their own studio, We Three Club, so I was very excited to see how much of their personalities they would bring to their wedding and when Alex told me she’d be wearing a vintage dress, I was in. They booked me right there and then on the phone without even needing to meet me, which for me is always a huge compliment. She also totally out-quiffed me with her gorgeous hair, scoring an easy 10/10 in the style stakes.
