A RICHMOND ENGAGEMENT

In the summertime, when we still had lots of sunshine, Tiffany & Albert flew to London for a holiday and got in touch for a portrait session. I suggested we take their photos in Richmond and so we had a chilled out afternoon walking along the river all the way down to Petersham and back. Two perfect strangers even invited us into their beautiful house overlooking the river, to make use of their balcony. It was a calm, sweet afternoon.

I love being able to spend time like this, wandering around, getting to know interesting new people from far flung places-it’s one of the many perks of being a portrait photographer. Richmond is a great choice for pre-wedding photos or portraits, even if you don’t venture into the village. We just loved being out by the river.

Next week, we’ll be blogging a lot more of Emma Jane’s work now that all this editing is back firmly under control. We have some beautiful weddings to share from Mallorca, Sweden, Italy and France and we even had time for a couple in London too.

A wedding in September, in a field beneath a tree, a couple stands amongst their friends, and vow into the breeze. To love one another and to cherish, to have and to hold forever tight, the band sings stay with me, I’ll stay with you, and we’re warmed by the sunlight.

A more perfect day I could never have dreamt, so I framed these memories, of that late summer day, of Matt and of Jess, and their glorious, humanist ceremony.

  • THE BRITISH JOURNAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY

I love to see my photos printed in frames or magazines, so I’m very chuffed to have had two recent features courtesy of the lovely Catherine at Wedding magazine.

The first is in the British Journal of Photography’s March issue, which talks about the new style of wedding photography, featuring a portrait from Tara & Lawrence’s wedding.

The second is in the pretty Wedding Flowers April edition; a full spread feature of the Westminster Chapel wedding I photographed last summer.

Thanks to Catherine at Wedding magazine, for featuring my photos!
