AN AIX-EN-PROVENCE WEDDING

It is always special photographing a wedding day, but sometimes a little bit even more special when the bride is a wedding blogger who also happens to be exceptionally lovely and is marrying her husband under a bright blue sky. Nick & Georgia flew me to France to photograph their wedding weekend in Provence at Chateau Grimaldi and for this, I am eternally grateful.

Thank you so much to you both for having me as your wedding photographer and for treating me as a guest at both of your weddings. It was such a privilege to spend those days with you and I’m utterly overwhelmed by all of your incredible gratitude. You really are the sweetest.

Gorgeous Georgia worked particularly hard on her wedding day and even started this brilliant British wedding blog, Before the Big Day. You can read all about her planning here and get in touch with her very amazing wedding planner, Ms (soon to be Mrs) Kerry Bracken, here.

Venue: Chateau Genoise, Provence // Dress & Veil: Delphine Manivet // Wedding Planner: Kerry Bracken Weddings Florist: Stephane Tevenin

I’m winding down my wedding work until spring, to focus on some more personal projects. It’s a beautiful time of  year for portraiture, reading and reflection on what a tremendous year it’s been and of course, for catching up on the blog…

A pretty weekend in Somerset, where the sky shone down so bright. A man and a woman were dressed to be married, beneath sunshine and perfect light. Four bridesmaids, three speeches, two families, one day, these two made me smile deep inside. This is the job that I love so much, picture memories of a groom and his bride.

I often fall a little bit in love with my brides and find it quite hard to detach myself from what is for most, a day full of emotion. This wedding at the family farm, was no exception. Tori & Oli are the personification of what it means to love and be loved and never have I seen people so utterly adored by their friends and family. I hope these photos go some way in showing a snippet of just what a beautiful day of colour and happiness it was.

Thank you Meg & Nate, for inviting us as guests and for having me photograph your lovely wedding.

In the five weeks since I last blogged, I have photographed four weddings in London, a wedding in Tuscany and a wedding in Rome atop a castle. I’ve been to the south of France, fallen in love with St Tropez, photographed an intimate elopement, flown back to Tuscany to photograph another sweet little wedding, and spent two glorious days in the unexpected London sunshine with a wedding at Northbook Park and a very first True Mod wedding.

We’ll be making up for lost time next week with a glamorous wedding in Provence, full of sunshine, smiles and our ever-gorgeous Georgia.
