A MAUNSEL HOUSE WEDDING

A pretty weekend in Somerset, where the sky shone down so bright. A man and a woman were dressed to be married, beneath sunshine and perfect light. Four bridesmaids, three speeches, two families, one day, these two made me smile deep inside. This is the job that I love so much, picture memories of a groom and his bride.

Venue: Maunsel House // Dress: Charlie Brear

A ginormous thank you to Lizzie & Sam for having me photograph their wedding. Their friends, family and tangible excitement made their day one of my favourites. Thanks too to the exceptionally organised Liddy at Maunsel House, for her skills and radiance. I’ve never met an event lady lovelier than Liddy.

To see a little more of this wedding, head on over to Rock My Wedding where I’m making my debut. Thanks for your most excellent wedding report, Lolly.

Up next, we’re coming back to the city for a very London wedding with an incredible dress, a sexy bride and yet another handsome groom, followed by a wedding in Spain by my lovely Emma Jane, who just got engaged to her rather dashing actor… Love is well and truly in the air!

  • AN APRIL ESCAPE

One week in April, we escaped to blue skies, a trip with no emails, just my husband and I. Some Arabic was learnt, pronunciation attempted, some photos were taken and our pockets were emptied. We ate and we wandered, for a few days we stayed, we were still for a moment and these memories we made.

  • A HUMANIST WEDDING

A wedding in September, in a field beneath a tree, a couple stands amongst their friends, and vow into the breeze. To love one another and to cherish, to have and to hold forever tight, the band sings stay with me, I’ll stay with you, and we’re warmed by the sunlight.

A more perfect day I could never have dreamt, so I framed these memories, of that late summer day, of Matt and of Jess, and their glorious, humanist ceremony.
