A SUMMERHOUSE WEDDING IN W9

This intimate London affair made me realise just how quickly two perfect strangers can become your friends. I had a beautiful day at Lynda & Blair’s Maida Vale wedding, starting off in Paddington, listening to The XX in the car on the way to the ceremony with the girls, a colourful canal boat ride to Little Venice and a very crafty reception at the bright and beautiful Summerhouse. It rained & shone all day long and everyone pulled together for a little adventure. It was truly a treat.

I am always so grateful to share days like these with such lovely individuals. Lynda & Blair, you really are very fantastic which is why I cried my way through most of your wedding. I promise they were happy tears though, so thank you again for having me.

  • ONWARDS & UPWARDS…

    Over the past four years, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with my brilliant and beautiful friend Emma Jane. We’ve photographed the vast majority of our weddings alone but have also been able to work together on huge weddings in London, at a medieval French castle and out in the Somerset countryside.   • A WALK AROUND PARIS

    I was so excited to have been recommended by the most incredible photographer Michele M Waite, to photograph Jamie & Steven whilst honeymooning in Paris. Steven is a wedding-planning, dress-designing, cake-making, husband extraordinaire and Jamie is quite possibly the prettiest, sweetiest and most charming lady you could ever hope to meet. We walked around town drinking coffee, buying sweets and taking photos. This really is my job, but it certainly doesn’t feel like work when you’re photographing these two in your very favourite city.

  • A FRENCH RIVIERA BEACH WEDDING

    It was a dream to photograph a wedding on the Cote d’azur and I was so lucky to have met these two lovelies and to have shared a very beautiful weekend with all of their important people. Elegant, sophisticated, a day full of friends and laughter, Miki and Tom held their wedding on the French riviera at L’Ecrin beach restaurant in Cannes. I think you’ll agree, it was a little bit gorgeous.

  • THE BRITISH JOURNAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY

    I was doubly thrilled recently to have had one of my images printed in the May issue of the British Journal of Photography, to advertise an event I’ll be speaking at in London, on July 1st.

    You may be able to grab a copy of the British Journal of Photography’s May edition quickly before the June issue goes on sale. It’s a very beautiful magazine which takes a good look behind the scenes of photography and discusses the latest British photography campaigns, with insight and a discerning eye.

    At Unveiled, I’ll be being interviewed by the infamous Kat of Rocknrollbride fame, talking a little bit about my photography style and how I found a spot in the British wedding photography market. The event is supported by Hasselblad and so I’ve also been asked to trial the newest addition to the Hasselblad H range, the H4D40, before the event which I am very excited about. It’s an amazing medium format camera and I’ll even get to use it on an actual wedding too!

    The editor of Wedding magazine, Catherine Westwood will be there too, so it will be interesting to hear about the wedding industry from both her print and Kat’s online perspective.

    Any of you who have met me know how much I love to talk, but it’s still a little bit intimidating getting up in front of big groups of people; especially those industry professionals who read the BJP and look to Hasselblad as the respected brand that it is.     A beautiful weekend on the French Riviera, in the mountainside village of Eze, a couple in love stand beaming and blushing, amidst their families and all of their friends. We dined and we cheered, Nouvelle Vague filled the air and a bride shone her smile cheek to cheek. The sky stretched proud over St Jean Cap Ferrat, three shades of blue I could see, champagne was drunk and kisses exchanged as the sun set slowly in the sea…
