A WEDDING IN ST TROPEZ

When I first met Esme & Leo, we sat talking about their wedding at a local café in Hampstead and Chris Martin walked in. Cool as anything, they barely noticed as I grinning, went bright red. Esme then mentioned that he was very lovely and that she’d worked with his wife before… his wife being Gwyneth Paltrow. I don’t think I’ve ever met two cooler individuals than these two and their wedding in St Tropez, was of course, the coolest of occasions.

Thank you both for having me with you, for treating me as a friend and for taking me to St Tropez. Your wedding was one of my favourites of last year and I’m so happy to have met you both.

Venue: Private estate in St Tropez // Dress: Biba Bridal // Planner: The incredible Kerry Bracken

I’m off to Paris tomorrow for an engagement session and have decided to spend the whole week in France between weddings in Dijon & Provence. I’ll be picking up emails every few days, but otherwise I will be out photographing French towns with my ma as my sidekick, whilst the ever jet-set, ever lovely Emma Jane flies to the caribbean for an amazing wedding in Barbados. It’s going to be a fantastic week for us both.

I am always thrilled to see my work in magazines and doubly excited when the bride is as excitable as the very lovely Jo. The Scoones had a very colourful summer wedding in Kent last year and it was an absolute treat to photograph.

You can see their feature in the latest copy of You & Your Wedding, January/February. What a brilliant start to the year for us both!

I am very lucky to have had some incredible support from magazines such as the British Journal of Photography, You & Your Wedding, Cosmopolitan Bride and Wedding magazine over the past twelve months. I’m also very grateful to some truly beautiful blogs too; Once Wed, Style Me Pretty & here on our very own Great British Isles, Rock N Roll Bride, Before the Big Day, Belle Amour & Love My Dress have all been very lovely to me too.

I have another thirteen weddings to blog from last year, alongside a couple of engagement sessions too. I do so love this quieter time of year; spending lots of time talking to my summer brides, booking flights for foreign weddings and wandering around town taking portraits.

My next wedding isn’t until March, in the very beautiful Stockholm; one of my favourite cities in the world, where absolutely everyone is beautiful. It’s absolutely true and I’ll prove it!

If you’re looking for a wedding magazine to read this weekend, could I recommend this one?

Ella & Sam made it into Cosmopolitan Bride’s June/July issue. It’s so exciting to see some of my photos in print in an actual magazine I’ve bought before. Thanks so much to Miranda & Cathy at Cosmo-who are most lovely.
Have a great weekend-I plan to spend it be buried under a mountain of editing!
  • THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

Mary and I first met at an event organised for wedding professionals to meet and get to know their colleagues and she had on the best hat I’d ever seen. When she asked me for a portrait session, I hoped she’d be wearing another brilliant hat. We met at a sweet little cafe for coffee and a chat and I even got to meet the charming, Samson.

I do love this kind of portraiture and if you think you would benefit from some casual photos like these for your business or even just because, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I have some autumnal portraits to do in the upcoming weeks, but there is room for one or two more.

I know I said something about a beautiful Swiss wedding and it is absolutely coming, I promise. I just have to get through a wedding tomorrow in Dorset and finish an edit on Sunday and then it’s up. There’s still so much editing to be done before my winter hibernation!

This is the story of Mark & Paula’s wedding day. They are True Mods, beautiful individuals, cool, calm, cat-loving people… the types you want to spend your Friday nights at the pub with. They got married last October in Islington & I got myself a backstage pass.
