A RUFFLED BLOG FEATURE

I knew I would love Alex & Chris when we first spoke on the phone early last year. They’re designers and run their own studio, We Three Club, so I was very excited to see how much of their personalities they would bring to their wedding and when Alex told me she’d be wearing a vintage dress, I was in. They booked me right there and then on the phone without even needing to meet me, which for me is always a huge compliment. She also totally out-quiffed me with her gorgeous hair, scoring an easy 10/10 in the style stakes.

They’re something straight out of a much cooler era, wouldn’t you agree?

Alex also hand-designs wedding invitations and details here at Dear So & So, so be sure to get in touch if you love the styling of her wedding day as much as I do.

This beautiful wedding is featured here over on the oh-so-pretty Ruffled today, which we three are all thrilled about! Thank you so much Amanda for sharing their unique style over on your beautiful blog.

You can also see Alex & Chris’ wedding video here but I’m warning you, it might make you cry a bit.

One cool, cloudy day in September, Alana & Anthony were wed. I boarded a flight for their wedding in France, it was going to be rad, they had said. For an intimate outdoor wedding, from Australia they all flew, she beamed and she laughed and she didn’t stop smiling and Anthony was pretty chuffed too.

A wedding in Provence is a special affair, the light is so pretty and there’s a scent in the air, of rosé in glasses and the green of the trees and the humming and buzzing of fat bumble bees. Nicola and James came together in May to a cheer of bon chance on their French wedding day.

I don’t think I would have believed a little over two years ago, that I would ever have a job that I love this much. I get to meet people who trust me to photograph their beautiful weddings, full of love and laughter and tears and then, magazines ask me for those photos. I get to see my work in print. My photos sit on coffee tables, get stuffed in handbags, stuck in scrap books, but most importantly, printed and framed and put on walls to remind people of their beautiful memories.

Here is a recent publish of Tori & Oli’s most amazing wedding last summer.

It’s in the most recent copy of Brides magazine, which made me gasp at the shelf at WH Smiths and frantically buy two copies; one for me and one for Tori. She writes a blog called Wellies & Vogue and this is Conde Nast’s bridal title. It made me proud as punch, chuffed to pieces. I’m grinning from ear to ear right now.

Thank you to all of the lovely ladies at Brides, who featured Tori & Oli’s wedding, as I know that they themselves are thrilled. Thank you Tori, Oli, Deborah, Hannah, Lucy and Dominique. This one here means more than I can really even begin to explain.

  • A HEMPEL HOTEL WEDDING

Jing & Bai are a truly unique couple. From the moment we met, I loved their style and individuality, Jing’s cheeky eyes and Bai’s sense of calm. I was honoured to photograph their intimate London wedding, which they shared together with twenty friends. At our first meeting, Bai told me that he liked tilt-shift photography, so I bought a tilt-shift lens to use at their wedding. It’s a tiny little bit magic.

  2. You are right, you were totally out quiffed! I love the details and the images and once again have done a beautiful job with this one. I would also like to say that I love the Citroen DS2!

  3. Everything about this wedding is so, so beautiful… the bride, the dress, the photography, the stationery, the framed embroidery… everything! Alex’s invitations are incredible also :) Now I must find me some of them big balloons!

  4. Hello! We would love to know if you’re available for our wedding on Saturday 5 November. Do send me an email if you are! Many thanks, Alice

  5. Love this.. Really impressed by all the details and the clear thought they put into making the day theirs, so they’ll be able to look back and think “yeah, that was us…” rather than some strangers they dressed up as for the day.

And the perfectly captured photos will of course help with that no end :)
