One sunny weekend in summer, Lisa & Rory got married in the tiny little village of Hurley at the beautiful Olde Bell Inn. They started the weekend with a picnic and rolled out the blankets for an evening bbq for all of their guests. It was quite the occasion.
When you get a rare Saturday off, you better spend it well.
I scored myself a golden ticket to Matt Corby’s first secret garden gig in England and took my cameras along with our picnic. Sunshine, showers & singing under a London sky.
A little while later in between some time on the beach, Melanie & Duncan held their wedding in Bangalow, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The Valiant was there and so were we and it was truly lovely.
Being a wedding photographer is an honor and a privilege, an invitation and a vote of confidence. Photographing a dear friend’s wedding is all of those things, plus the swelling of your heart, the shaking of your hands and the crying of your eyes.
I travelled all the way over to the other side of the world to photograph these two momentous events. First was the very intimate Byron Bay ceremony of five. It rained and it shone, she wore killer heels, he drove the Valiant and I witnessed the marriage of Melanie & her photographer husband, Duncan.
