THE BRITISH JOURNAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY

I was doubly thrilled recently to have had one of my images printed in the May issue of the British Journal of Photography, to advertise an event I’ll be speaking at in London, on July 1st.

You may be able to grab a copy of the British Journal of Photography’s May edition quickly before the June issue goes on sale. It’s a very beautiful magazine which takes a good look behind the scenes of photography and discusses the latest British photography campaigns, with insight and a discerning eye.

At Unveiled, I’ll be being interviewed by the infamous Kat of Rocknrollbride fame, talking a little bit about my photography style and how I found a spot in the British wedding photography market. The event is supported by Hasselblad and so I’ve also been asked to trial the newest addition to the Hasselblad H range, the H4D40, before the event which I am very excited about. It’s an amazing medium format camera and I’ll even get to use it on an actual wedding too!

The editor of Wedding magazine, Catherine Westwood will be there too, so it will be interesting to hear about the wedding industry from both her print and Kat’s online perspective.

Any of you who have met me know how much I love to talk, but it’s still a little bit intimidating getting up in front of big groups of people; especially those industry professionals who read the BJP and look to Hasselblad as the respected brand that it is. If you’re interested in coming along to heckle me, you can buy tickets for Unveiled here and also enter the photography competition too if you are a professional or aspiring wedding photographer.

If you can make it, do come up and say hello. I’ll be the one sat with the girl with pink hair.

Ella & Sam made it into Cosmopolitan Bride’s June/July issue. It’s so exciting to see some of my photos in print in an actual magazine I’ve bought before. Thanks so much to Miranda & Cathy at Cosmo-who are most lovely.
Have a great weekend-I plan to spend it be buried under a mountain of editing!

Megan & Nathan got married on a sweet, still day in May.  I started the morning with Megan at the Haymarket Hotel where she was getting ready with a pretty little entourage of glamorous friends and family.

Thank you Meg & Nate, for inviting us as guests and for having me photograph your lovely wedding.

In the five weeks since I last blogged, I have photographed four weddings in London, a wedding in Tuscany and a wedding in Rome atop a castle. I’ve been to the south of France, fallen in love with St Tropez, photographed an intimate elopement, flown back to Tuscany to photograph another sweet little wedding, and spent two glorious days in the unexpected London sunshine with a wedding at Northbook Park and a very first True Mod wedding.

We’ll be making up for lost time next week with a glamorous wedding in Provence, full of sunshine, smiles and our ever-gorgeous Georgia.

Do you remember James & Philippa’s exceptionally stylish Cotswolds wedding? Philippa poured a huge amount of time and effort into the design and styling of the day, so we were both thrilled that the ever stylish You & Your Wedding magazine wanted to feature it in their May/June issue. It even scored a two-page spread!

  • AN ODE TO 2012

Sometimes when life gets busy, it’s easy to forget, the people and the places, the dusks and the sunsets. Those days through the year when you felt your heart beat, huge smiles from new people you were quite lucky to meet. Be still for a moment, just sit and recall, reflect on the absolute beauty of it all. Life is quite frantic and at times it’s quite sad, but these are the memories that make our souls glad.

This year I’ve been invited on a number of days, with camera in hand and finger ablaze, to witness small fragments of love and sheer bliss, a sum of thirty-eight weddings and they looked a lot like this…

  • ALBUMS & HEIRLOOMS

I try to be a wedding photographer that I myself would like to have had, so when I put together packages I take into consideration what creative brides may like and what they might like to organise themselves. I provide high-resolution images on memory sticks to all of my couples, so they’re able to print and share their photos as they wish, with the option to order custom-designed albums if they would like them too.photographer wedding albums

After much hunting and sampling, I finally came across a book company whose product I loved and whose service was unrivalled. They allow me complete flexibility in album design and provide a simply beautiful, matte and digitally-printed album on fine art paper, with a really beautiful texture. Apart from your husband or wife, there really isn’t a better keepsake from your wedding day – a bound heirloom for you to cherish in the many years to come.

  • A BRIDES MAGAZINE FEATURE

I don’t think I would have believed a little over two years ago, that I would ever have a job that I love this much. I get to meet people who trust me to photograph their beautiful weddings, full of love and laughter and tears and then, magazines ask me for those photos. I get to see my work in print. My photos sit on coffee tables, get stuffed in handbags, stuck in scrap books, but most importantly, printed and framed and put on walls to remind people of their beautiful memories.

Here is a recent publish of Tori & Oli’s most amazing wedding last summer.

It’s in the most recent copy of Brides magazine, which made me gasp at the shelf at WH Smiths and frantically buy two copies; one for me and one for Tori. She writes a blog called Wellies & Vogue and this is Conde Nast’s bridal title. It made me proud as punch, chuffed to pieces. I’m grinning from ear to ear right now.

Thank you to all of the lovely ladies at Brides, who featured Tori & Oli’s wedding, as I know that they themselves are thrilled. Thank you Tori, Oli, Deborah, Hannah, Lucy and Dominique. This one here means more than I can really even begin to explain.
