The very, very pretty American wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, featured Carey & James’ beautiful countryside wedding this week.

I am a little behind with my blogging this week-there really is just so much to do at this time of year. I feel a bit like that crazy little rabbit from Alice in Wonderland…
Looking ahead to my seventh wedding edit on Sunday, did you know Wellies & Vogue is getting married? I did and I can’t wait to photograph it all. Come rain or shine Tori, it’s going to beautiful! I am so thrilled to have so many such beautiful weddings to photograph this year; this really is the best job ever.
A pretty weekend in Somerset, where the sky shone down so bright. A man and a woman were dressed to be married, beneath sunshine and perfect light. Four bridesmaids, three speeches, two families, one day, these two made me smile deep inside. This is the job that I love so much, picture memories of a groom and his bride.

A busy summer it has been, with weddings and shoots aplenty. Happy memories I have captured, to the sum of eight and twenty. Autumn is here and the sun is now shy, the leaves slowly litter the ground, so I’m packing my case and off we will fly, for we are Bali bound…

I am so excited to be photographing a gorgeous outdoor wedding in Bali next weekend! If you need me, I’ll be back on October 16th and if you’d like to see what I’m up to the interim, you can have a behind-the-scenes look over on Instagram.
Thank you as ever to UK Film Lab for the beautiful scan, from an amazing wedding at the Tiara Miramar hotel on the beautiful Cote d’Azur, earlier this month. There’s plenty more where this has come from, just as soon as I get chance to catch up on the blog. This year has been even busier than I expected but I’m really not complaining when it’s all looked like this!
I am always enamoured with nights like this one.
An evening at home with my husband, in our little London flat, sat outside under the heater on the terrace, listening to our neighbour’s winter concert, with a bottle of Oyster Bay. Feeling alive and truly grateful for life and love, forever surprised at how sweet London can be.

It’s been a phenomenal start to the year. I am already overwhelmed by what’s in store, but overwhelmed in the best way possible.
I am very lucky to be able to photograph weddings such as these. Sweet, intimate and so full of love and smiles. It also happened to be in Zürich, a city I had not visited until July. I think I’m in love with Switzerland.

Getting ready together, they were both the picture of calm…
…with a little edge of excitement.

Swiss civil ceremonies last just fifteen minutes, even when in French and English, which leaves plenty of time for tea and sightseeing on vintage trams…

There is something so special about grandparents. This lady reminded me of my own grandma and squeezed my hand and beamed when she caught my eye. She also had the cutest granddaughter who was not in the least bit fatigued by the blazing sunshine.

Thanh has a passion for all things culinary and gave everyone tiny kitchen utensils as gifts.

Isn’t she just the sweetest little thing?

After our trip to Switzerland, we’ve decided that one day we’ll move to Zürich and have lunch by the lake on Sundays with our new friends Thanh & Yvan. It’s a truly beautiful place; fresh and clean and content.
I still have a lot of editing to catch up on and a few more weddings and portraits to do before the year is out. I’m quite sad to see the autumn leaves on the ground but glad to have time to catch up on things through winter. It’s been a year of big changes, exciting challenges and huge rewards, but there’s a little more on all of that later.
Kate & Rob are the kind of people you would describe as salt of the earth. Embracing and endearing, Emma-Jane and I felt like we’d been friends of theirs forever and with Rob’s sharp suit and Kate’s red hair, they were a treat to photograph. Two-hundred guests travelled from England & Dubai to the French town of Pierrefonds to celebrate their wedding in a huge medieval castle. It was certainly a weekend to remember.

What a beautiful year! Stunning work always, lady xo
