A WEDDING AT THE ICA LONDON

An eclectic, summer city wedding at London’s iconic Institute of Contemporary Arts

Venue: Institute of Contemporary Arts // Dress: Kobus Dippenaar from Morgan Davies Bridal // Groom’s Suit: Ted Baker // Flowers: Fairy Nuff Flowers //Hair & Make Up: Sam Sham // Cake topper & table numbers: Better Off Wed // Red Velvet Wedding Cake: Bea’s Cake Boutique

I loved photographing this fantastic wedding at the ICA. Those tall ceilings, all that natural light and the neutral canvas of the ICA make it an incredible venue for a personal London wedding and Anne-Marie & Allan went all-out to make their day a reflection of them and all the things they loved. The flowers were a definite highlight with a cascade wall back-drop for their ceremony and florals galore for both the ceremony and reception. I particularly loved how doting Allan is and how laid-back Anne-Marie was. They really were such a pleasure to photograph and I’m thrilled to be seeing them again at his sister’s wedding this summer. If you would like to read more about Anne-Marie & Allan’s plans, check out their feature over on You & Your Wedding.

The past few weeks have been particularly busy with two weddings abroad in Italy and Menorca with a few days on the Cinque Terre thrown in for good measure. It can’t be all work and no play…

Up next is a super-sophisticated wedding at Goodwood House in Sussex in some incredibly rare winter sunshine.

I am always enamoured with nights like this one.

An evening at home with my husband, in our little London flat, sat outside under the heater on the terrace, listening to our neighbour’s winter concert, with a bottle of Oyster Bay. Feeling alive and truly grateful for life and love, forever surprised at how sweet London can be.

It’s been a phenomenal start to the year. I am already overwhelmed by what’s in store, but overwhelmed in the best way possible.

Carey and James are a lovely, down-to-earth couple who got married in the first week in June. They held their reception at the very stylish Anchor Inn in the very quaint Hampshire, out in the English countryside. I have never been to such a fantastic pub in all of my life and I’m not proud to admit that I’ve visited a fair few. We had such beautiful weather that everyone was in the highest of spirits, which really made for quite the perfect day.
