AN ELEGANT OUTDOOR WEDDING IN PROVENCE

On a calm summer’s day in August, when the sun shone warm on my skin, I travelled with cameras to Chateau Martinet and here is where this story begins. An elegant couple in love with each other, their guests cool and dressed to the nines, take seats in the shade and applaud with delight as these two wed under French pines. Champagne was served and kisses exchanged, well wishes and hugs were poured out and I had a beautiful, brilliant day, of that there was never a doubt…

Weddings in Aix en Provence

Especially huge thanks to the very gorgeous Buse & Ömer for having me with them for their wedding celebrations. Their team consisted of the ever-amazing wedding planners at Lavender & Rose // Florals by the lovely Laetitia C // Dress: customised Monique Lhuillier // Veil: Mark Ingram Atelier, New York // Wedding cake & catering: the marvellous Marrou // Venue: the incredible Chateau du Martinet

This wedding has also been featured over on Style Me Pretty, right here.

I was very lucky to have stayed here for a few nights in 2012 between French weddings, so I was so thrilled to return for Buse & Ömer’s beautiful wedding day with the Lavender & Rose girls, who make sure everything runs smoothly and everybody is smiling. If you’re having a wedding on the French Riviera or in Provence, they are invaluable.

We’re almost at the end of July and it seems to have just flown by. I’ve photographed two portrait sessions, three weddings here and one in France. I’ve worked at the achingly cool MC Motors, at the very pretty Preston Court in the garden of England, the bright and beautiful ICA and this weekend, I’m headed to Dulwich College. It’s been another full-on month of shooting, editing and client meetings, but now that my inbox has been tamed once again, I can honestly say that I’ve loved it all!

A busy summer it has been, with weddings and shoots aplenty. Happy memories I have captured, to the sum of eight and twenty. Autumn is here and the sun is now shy, the leaves slowly litter the ground, so I’m packing my case and off we will fly, for we are Bali bound…

I am so excited to be photographing a gorgeous outdoor wedding in Bali next weekend! If you need me, I’ll be back on October 16th and if you’d like to see what I’m up to the interim, you can have a behind-the-scenes look over on Instagram.

Thank you as ever to UK Film Lab for the beautiful scan, from an amazing wedding at the Tiara Miramar hotel on the beautiful Cote d’Azur, earlier this month.  There’s plenty more where this has come from, just as soon as I get chance to catch up on the blog. This year has been even busier than I expected but I’m really not complaining when it’s all looked like this!

  • A FLORAL CROWNED QUEEN

I often fall a little bit in love with my brides and find it quite hard to detach myself from what is for most, a day full of emotion. This wedding at the family farm, was no exception. Tori & Oli are the personification of what it means to love and be loved and never have I seen people so utterly adored by their friends and family. I hope these photos go some way in showing a snippet of just what a beautiful day of colour and happiness it was.

  • A BURGH HOUSE WEDDING

A quiet afternoon one Monday in spring, a wedding in Hampstead, two lovebirds and a ring. At Burgh House we gathered, on a most notable date, Gary arrived early and Clarisa was not late. They stood before friends and promised their hearts, we clapped and we grinned, we all felt a part. That beautiful day, a mole & his wife, a perfect beginning to their new married life.

Thank you Meg & Nate, for inviting us as guests and for having me photograph your lovely wedding.

In the five weeks since I last blogged, I have photographed four weddings in London, a wedding in Tuscany and a wedding in Rome atop a castle. I’ve been to the south of France, fallen in love with St Tropez, photographed an intimate elopement, flown back to Tuscany to photograph another sweet little wedding, and spent two glorious days in the unexpected London sunshine with a wedding at Northbook Park and a very first True Mod wedding.

We’ll be making up for lost time next week with a glamorous wedding in Provence, full of sunshine, smiles and our ever-gorgeous Georgia.
