A STOMENNANO WEDDING IN TUSCANY

When I first met Jamie & Laura for coffee and a chat in London, I was a little bit enthralled with them both. Introspective and thoughtful, I knew that their wedding was going to be a quietly elegant affair and I could tell from their exchanges that it was definitely going to be a beautiful one.

Thank you both for trusting me to photograph your beautiful wedding and for letting me share such a personal occasion too. You’re the cat’s pyjamas. Thank you also to the team at Stomennano in Monteriggioni and to the lovely ladies at Chic Weddings Italy for the seemless organisation of the day.

This past week has been a flurry of flights back and forth to Italy where I photographed an astounding wedding with the exceptionally talented Clark & Palmer gentlemen, the printing of this summer’s travel, the photographing of babies belonging to previous brides and the bitter sweet bidding farewell to nights out with friends. Wedding season has arrived, but it’s welcomed with open arms.

A pretty weekend in Somerset, where the sky shone down so bright. A man and a woman were dressed to be married, beneath sunshine and perfect light. Four bridesmaids, three speeches, two families, one day, these two made me smile deep inside. This is the job that I love so much, picture memories of a groom and his bride.

It is always special photographing a wedding day, but sometimes a little bit even more special when the bride is a wedding blogger who also happens to be exceptionally lovely and is marrying her husband under a bright blue sky. Nick & Georgia flew me to France to photograph their wedding weekend in Provence at Chateau Grimaldi and for this, I am eternally grateful.

  • A FLORAL CROWNED QUEEN

I often fall a little bit in love with my brides and find it quite hard to detach myself from what is for most, a day full of emotion. This wedding at the family farm, was no exception. Tori & Oli are the personification of what it means to love and be loved and never have I seen people so utterly adored by their friends and family. I hope these photos go some way in showing a snippet of just what a beautiful day of colour and happiness it was.

Ella & Sam made it into Cosmopolitan Bride’s June/July issue. It’s so exciting to see some of my photos in print in an actual magazine I’ve bought before. Thanks so much to Miranda & Cathy at Cosmo-who are most lovely.
Have a great weekend-I plan to spend it be buried under a mountain of editing!
  • A RICHMOND ENGAGEMENT

In the summertime, when we still had lots of sunshine, Tiffany & Albert flew to London for a holiday and got in touch for a portrait session. I suggested we take their photos in Richmond and so we had a chilled out afternoon walking along the river all the way down to Petersham and back. Two perfect strangers even invited us into their beautiful house overlooking the river, to make use of their balcony. It was a calm, sweet afternoon.
