A WEDDING AT THE ICA LONDON

An eclectic, summer city wedding at London’s iconic Institute of Contemporary Arts

Venue: Institute of Contemporary Arts // Dress: Kobus Dippenaar from Morgan Davies Bridal // Groom’s Suit: Ted Baker // Flowers: Fairy Nuff Flowers //Hair & Make Up: Sam Sham // Cake topper & table numbers: Better Off Wed // Red Velvet Wedding Cake: Bea’s Cake Boutique

I loved photographing this fantastic wedding at the ICA. Those tall ceilings, all that natural light and the neutral canvas of the ICA make it an incredible venue for a personal London wedding and Anne-Marie & Allan went all-out to make their day a reflection of them and all the things they loved. The flowers were a definite highlight with a cascade wall back-drop for their ceremony and florals galore for both the ceremony and reception. I particularly loved how doting Allan is and how laid-back Anne-Marie was. They really were such a pleasure to photograph and I’m thrilled to be seeing them again at his sister’s wedding this summer. The past few weeks have been particularly busy with two weddings abroad in Italy and Menorca with a few days on the Cinque Terre thrown in for good measure. It can’t be all work and no play…

Up next is a super-sophisticated wedding at Goodwood House in Sussex in some incredibly rare winter sunshine.

Kate & Rob are the kind of people you would describe as salt of the earth. Embracing and endearing, Emma-Jane and I felt like we’d been friends of theirs forever and with Rob’s sharp suit and Kate’s red hair, they were a treat to photograph. Two-hundred guests travelled from England & Dubai to the French town of Pierrefonds to celebrate their wedding in a huge medieval castle. It was certainly a weekend to remember.

It was a dream to photograph a wedding on the Cote d’azur and I was so lucky to have met these two lovelies and to have shared a very beautiful weekend with all of their important people. Elegant, sophisticated, a day full of friends and laughter, Miki and Tom held their wedding on the French riviera at L’Ecrin beach restaurant in Cannes. I think you’ll agree, it was a little bit gorgeous.

Megan & Nathan are two very lovely friends of mine and so I couldn’t be happier to be photographing their London wedding this afternoon. Megan is the nicest person and Nathan is both kind and generous and really makes her giggle, so today is guaranteed to be beautiful. Nathan proposed with a bottle of vintage champagne on the deck chairs in Green Park, which made it a particularly special spot to return to for their pre-wedding photos.

  • A SUMMERHOUSE WEDDING IN W9

This intimate London affair made me realise just how quickly two perfect strangers can become your friends. I had a beautiful day at Lynda & Blair’s Maida Vale wedding, starting off in Paddington, listening to The XX in the car on the way to the ceremony with the girls, a colourful canal boat ride to Little Venice and a very crafty reception at the bright and beautiful Summerhouse. It rained & shone all day long and everyone pulled together for a little adventure. It was truly a treat.

  • MIKI | PORTRAIT OF A BRIDE

This here is Miki. On the day of her wedding, she got dressed on a boat and it was bright and fresh and the view was so incredible. It was at this moment that I got a little bit awestruck. Isn’t she just beautiful?

I’m not sure that there is a better place to get ready for your wedding, than right by the sea.

I had a 4.30am start this morning for my first ever sunrise session and I’m up again at 3am for a flight to Mallorca. I am tired and I better get packing.
