A WEDDING AT ST PAULS

Rae is the kind of person who makes you laugh with one sly look and she found her perfect match in Bill. They live in New York, but chose to get married in London at The Crypt in St Paul’s Cathedral as Bill’s lovely mum has an MBE, which is like a VIP pass for St Paul’s. I am so glad to have met them both and to have shared in their wedding day. It was grey and windy, but to me they proved that it doesn’t matter one tiny bit. They were getting married and that’s all that really counts, right?

LATELY…

…I have been seeing a lot of the sea.

An intimate wedding in Mallorca and an engagement session in Brighton has made it an exceptionally good week. Both had sunshine and couples really very much in love.

Today I’m going to be far away from the sea in the Great British city of London, photographing a wedding where Shakespeare used to wet his whistle. It’s raining and grey but I always feel like weddings are so much bigger than the weather. Two beautiful people are today committing themselves to each other, for life. Their friends and family will witness it all, smiling, laughing, drinking champagne, we’ll all eat cake, dance and celebrate. Really then, who cares if it rains?

A HEMPEL HOTEL WEDDING

Jing & Bai are a truly unique couple. From the moment we met, I loved their style and individuality, Jing’s cheeky eyes and Bai’s sense of calm. I was honoured to photograph their intimate London wedding, which they shared together with twenty friends. At our first meeting, Bai told me that he liked tilt-shift photography, so I bought a tilt-shift lens to use at their wedding. It’s a tiny little bit magic.
