COFFEE AT THE SALUSBURY | QUEENS PARK

..

..Summer is over, autumn has arrived and the busiest months of shooting, I seem to have survived…

October on Instagram was pretty eventful… a great deal of happiness was found with a trip to Bali to photograph a very, very beautiful wedding day, a hair-raising trip to Gilli Trawangan and a few days of peace and quiet before the 24-hour round trip back to London. I still have so much editing to catch up on, but it felt a little rude not to bid a fond farewell to the incredibly special month that was October.
I snuck away with my husband to a pretty little island, a few nights set aside just for two. It felt like a dream, a huge breath of fresh air, Santorini I love you, I do.

June in Lake Como is a magical place to be, to wander and take photos and absorb the sheer beauty. The water and the sunshine and peace and light abound as the lake laps to the water’s edge, which is where I could be found, with pizza and gelato and a camera in my hand as I thanked another couple for bringing me back to my homeland…

When you get a rare Saturday off, you better spend it well.
I scored myself a golden ticket to Matt Corby’s first secret garden gig in England and took my cameras along with our picnic. Sunshine, showers & singing under a London sky.

One week in April, we escaped to blue skies, a trip with no emails, just my husband and I. Some Arabic was learnt, pronunciation attempted, some photos were taken and our pockets were emptied. We ate and we wandered, for a few days we stayed, we were still for a moment and these memories we made.

It’s taken me quite some time to pull this post together. I’ve had mixed emotions about sharing something so personal belonging to my clients, but they asked me to when they saw them and I feel like sharing something different today.
I had never really thought so much about photographing a birth until I was asked by my two beautiful friends. I was worried I would be in the way, that their memories would be of me and my camera and not of the birth of their first child and also selfishly, that it might put me off having my own children… I wasn’t, they aren’t and it didn’t.
I was the first person to ever take a photograph of this human being. Hello, Elijah.

I know he can’t really see but at four minutes old, he looked straight at me.

Kristina, you have never been more beautiful than you were on 21st January at 7.09am. You know that I am in total awe of you both and that I’m so grateful to have been asked to be there with you, camera in hand. You are simply incredible, made of the most inspiring things and I love you very much.
I’m away this week for a couple of days, spending time with my ma and sister. It’s times like these that reaffirm just how special a family is.
I've had Monmouth coffee in London, so good! I truly love these tones.
I'd happily have coffee, a good chat & an even better giggle with you anyday Chloe! You've captured one of my fav cafes beautifully xxx
Wow man, this place has really changed. It used to feel so dark in there (but always with the wonderful smell of freshly ground coffee beans) and now from these beautiful images it looks so fresh and light. I must go back and experience it myself (and smell the coffee).
I simply love the shot of the frames with the light above them. The B&W photos look very French. Beautiful Chloe.
Thanks everyone! Sometimes it's just coffee with a friend that makes your weekend.
