A WEDDING AT SHELDON MANOR

Two teenage sweethearts fall in love, at fifteen they share their first kiss. They promise to be together forever and pledge to stay true to this. Fast forward ten years, a ring she now wears, a wedding at Sheldon Manor they plan. On the twenty-third of June, another kiss is had and a lady makes a husband of her man. It rains and it showers and umbrellas are opened, as are the hearts of these two. We smile and we swoon because we’re all pretty privileged, to witness Clare & Rich say that they do…

A ginormous thank you to you, Clare & Rich for having me photograph your gorgeous wedding. From the moment I got your enquiry I was excited about your plans and on the day, you made me feel like I’d known you forever. You are the bee’s knees. Thanks too to You & Your Wedding for featuring this Cotswolds wedding in your May/June issue.

Wedding venue: Sheldon Manor // wedding dress: Alice Temperley // groom’s suit: Paul Smith // Wedding design: Whiter Than White Weddings

This weekend we’re both taking some time out in the sunshine with the rest of Great Britain. Think Pimms, pub gardens and rosy noses…

  • THANK YOU, MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS

I am hugely honoured and incredibly flattered to have been included in Martha Stewart Weddings’ Top Wedding Photographers list! It’s an accolade I would never have dreamt of, but thanks to the exceptionally generous team at Martha Stewart Weddings (I’m looking at you ladies, Shira & Darcy) I find myself unbelievably listed among my inspirations…

You can download the pretty Spring issue here and if you’d like to see a printed copy, there will be ten on the shelves of my office. And one in a gold frame, too.  Is it too early in the day for a champagne celebration..?

  • A NONSUCH MANSION WEDDING

Laura & Andy were one of my very first bookings at the beginning of the year and I knew immediately that we’d get on really well. They’re both into swing dance and wanted something individual for their wedding day, so they chose to get married at Nonsuch Mansion, which is a truly beautiful Surrey venue, if you happen to be looking for one.

I had such a great day with Laura & Andy and their cool bridesmaids, I came away having made some great new friends, with a new addicition to her Frock N Roll Vintage blog. The staff at Nonsuch Mansion are fantastic too. I was served a hot three-course meal and a whole bottle of wine (which being the consummate professional, I didn’t touch!) It was possibly the best venue that I’ve had the pleasure of working at, all year.

This wedding was also featured on Kat’s ever-inspiring blog,  Rock N Roll Bride today, so head on over to read a little more about Laura & Andy’s planning and inspiration.

  • A ONCE WED FEATURE

I had both the lovely Emily at Once Wed and the incredibly cool Kat at RockNRollBride both write beautiful features on my most recent wedding. I will admit that I thought this would be a popular one when I spoke to Ella about Sam’s suit and pried some details from her about that dress. I didn’t know though, that she was going to look as amazing as she did, nor that there would be a surprise song during the wedding…

It’s always excellent when I have my work featured, but to have a double post between the US and the UK was really exciting. I know a lot of my ideal brides look to Once Wed for inspiration, as do I as a photographer, so it’s been great to organise meets with a whole new audience. I have an exceptionally busy next few weeks on my hands!

If you missed Ella & Sam’s posts online, you can still catch up with Once Wed and RockNRoll Bride too.
Thank you both, for your beautiful posts.
  • A HUMANIST WEDDING

A wedding in September, in a field beneath a tree, a couple stands amongst their friends, and vow into the breeze. To love one another and to cherish, to have and to hold forever tight, the band sings stay with me, I’ll stay with you, and we’re warmed by the sunlight.

A more perfect day I could never have dreamt, so I framed these memories, of that late summer day, of Matt and of Jess, and their glorious, humanist ceremony.

  • A CAVENDISH SQUARE WEDDING

Megan & Nathan got married on a sweet, still day in May.  I started the morning with Megan at the Haymarket Hotel where she was getting ready with a pretty little entourage of glamorous friends and family.

Thank you Meg & Nate, for inviting us as guests and for having me photograph your lovely wedding.

In the five weeks since I last blogged, I have photographed four weddings in London, a wedding in Tuscany and a wedding in Rome atop a castle. I’ve been to the south of France, fallen in love with St Tropez, photographed an intimate elopement, flown back to Tuscany to photograph another sweet little wedding, and spent two glorious days in the unexpected London sunshine with a wedding at Northbook Park and a very first True Mod wedding.

We’ll be making up for lost time next week with a glamorous wedding in Provence, full of sunshine, smiles and our ever-gorgeous Georgia.

  • LAKE COMO

June in Lake Como is a magical place to be, to wander and take photos and absorb the sheer beauty. The water and the sunshine and peace and light abound as the lake laps to the water’s edge, which is where I could be found, with pizza and gelato and a camera in my hand as I thanked another couple for bringing me back to my homeland…
